At the end of May, colleagues from the Monolithic Division began preparatory work on the Reconstruction and Renovation of the Jiřího z Poděbrad Metro Station project. Here, our colleagues in cooperation with Strabag a.s. will build reinforced concrete secondary enclosure and access corridors.

Technical staff and workers from the Monoliths Division started construction work on the D5509 motorway stage in cooperation with colleagues from SKANSKA a.s.
Rock Salt s.r.o. is undertaking construction work on the SO212 Ecomost bridge structure.

In joint cooperation with the general contractor Energie stavební a báňská a.s., we are completing the remaining construction work on the pipeline feeder bridge D149 for the client ČEZ a.s. The pipeline converter will supply local residents with heat produced at the Temelín nuclear power plant.

Following the successful completion of the last concreting units on the Křivonoska Pipeline Bridge, our workers progressively moved on to the construction of another suspension bridge along the route of the pipeline – Hluboká nad Vltavou 1.
On this object, employees will cooperate with colleagues from our prefab factory in Kolín, who will be responsible for supplying prefabricated pylons to speed up the construction of other bridge objects.

After the Easter, we successfully started the construction of a hot water pipeline transfer line connecting the Temelín nuclear power plant and České Budějovice. The project of the pipeline suspension on reinforced concrete pylons is executed for the joint stock company ČEZ, a.s., supplying gas and electricity throughout the Czech Republic.

The project, which aims to connect the power plant with the residential part of ČB, consists of two separate transmission lines. We are currently building the first structure, called Křivonoska, which is designed as a reinforced concrete monolithic structure with two pylons and four anchor blocks in which the suspension cables carrying the hot water pipeline will be anchored.

Another object in the form of a second suspension bridge will be manufactured in the following months in our prefabrication factory in Kolín and then assembled from individual prefabricated parts on site under the supervision of the chief construction manager I. Hemala.

Today we have successfully completed another project in the UK.

Our international team led by MSCE. J. Mihal has completed the second hydroelectric power plant. This time in the very centre of Manchester, in the premises of old lock. The project itself was quite demanding mainly because of the cramped conditions to handling material and formwork. Also thanks to the lack of blue prints dating back to the 19th century.

Following the successful project Woolston, our technicians and workers are facing a new challenge. The reconstruction of Mode Wheel lock and rebuilding a new hydro power plant inside. Based on our previous cooperation with the client HYDROPOL Project&Management we have initiated a new project in the centre of Manchester City. Since the beginning our technicians in cooperation with a client had to deal with a difficult task to reorganise original technical documents dated in 19th century and start a demolition job. During the summer, our workers were carrying out the most of the demolition tasks and now we have started with our first casting in Inlet and Powerhouse.

Within short period of time (5th – 7th March) were installed three hydro Archimedes screws at the Hydro power plant Woolston. They will subsequently generate electricity in quantity of 486 kW. Our employees have been participating here in scope of concrete construction since October 2020 and within upcoming months it is going be put into operation.
